THE PEDAGOGY CURATOR

This is a space for pedagogical reflection, in which topics and themes of Lifelong Learning —encompassing both formal education and informal, experiential, self-directed learning-are explored and discussed. A tapestry of thoughts and views on contemporary issues within pedagogy and andragogy.
The title suggests the approach used, hinting at the variety of backgrounds and sectors/perspectives from which the reflections offered draw their inspiration.
Why ‘Curator’?
A museum curator researches, interprets and manages a museum collection, acting as a mediator between the collection and the public.
In the same way, a professional of learning selects, organises and presents an interpretation of pedagogical issues -creating contexts for growth and development, enhancing opportunities for self reflection and change.
Here we combine key ideas from visual communication with contemporary pedagogical knowledge, practice and agendas, engaging in a creative process of cross pollination between different disciplines.
The result is a sparkling mandala of creative pedagogies that offers new meanings and frameworks to approach learning in all its complexity and beauty.
